Les clés de l'innovation en télésanté

Quelles sont les cles de l'innovation et de l'industrialisation dans le domaine de la telesante ? Deux tables rondes structurantes sont programmees : le matin sur : Le transfert de technologie en sante : les "bonnes pratiques", l'après-midi sera consacre à : Une mesure de la valeur du service rendu en telesante : les pistes de reponse. En fin de session sera presentee une synthese des pistes pour innover en telesante. (places étant limitées - reservation rapide conseillee)

Silver Economy Network of European Regions conference

The conference will include amongst others a roundtable on "Regional silver economy and ageing strategies - examples and lessons learned" with experts from different European regions and a series of parallel workshops on WS1: "Strategies for ageing in the area of employment and voluntary work", WS2: "Ageing well and well-being" and WS3 "Local strategies for independent living" The Good Practice Competition is also now open and interested parties are asked to submit their applications online.

PRESS RELEASE
".eu" internet domain now available in all EU languages

(10 December 2009)From today, European citizens, businesses and organisations can register .eu website names using characters from all 23 official languages of the European Union. This means that registrants, for example, can use Greek or Cyrillic names. This was made possible thanks to new EU rules adopted by the Commission in June 2009.

@neurIST - December 2009 newsletter

Two abstracts on the @neurIST project were selected for publication in "Neurochirurgie" and discussed at the Annual Meeting of the French Speaking Society of Neurosurgery in Paris November 2nd. The discussions lead to the organization of an @neurIST demonstration to the neurosurgeons in Lille (France) that will take place on the 15th of January. The neurosurgery clinic in Lille developed a strong collaboration with neurointerventionist treating more than 150 aneurysms a year. The 2nd ESMINT Teaching Courses 2009 taking place in Barcelona, Spain on 13-18/12/2009 will foucus on Stroke and Intracranial Aneurysms. More news are available on the project's newsletter.

Caalyx: IT-gestütztes Homecare-Projekt geht in die nächste Phase

Für unsere alternde Gesellschaft benötigen wir Lösungen, mit deren Hilfe Menschen länger in ihrer gewohnten Umgebung bleiben können, bevor sie in eine Betreuungseinrichtung gehen müssen", sagt Manuel Escriche von der spanischen Telefónica Investigacíon y Desarollo. Escriche ist Projektleiter von Caalyx, einem mit drei Millionen Euro ausgestatteten Projekt, welches über das sechste EU-Forschungsrahmenprogramm mit 1,85 Millionen Euro gefördert wird. Am Caalyx-Projekt ("Complete Ambient Assisted Living Experiment") sind Partner aus Deutschland, Italien, Irland, Großbritannien und Portugal beteiligt.

eHealth Saves Lives And Costs - MyHeart on Deutsche Welle

Modern medicine can treat increasing numbers of illnesses but costs are rising rapidly. At the Medica 2009 exhibition in Dusseldorf, the focus was on eHealth - technologies which reduce hospital workloads and lower treatment costs. Deutsche Welle (DW) took the opportunity to report about innovative eHealth solutions from the MyHeart project. Video-reportage is now available in English and German.

HAMAM: On the right track to advanced detection and diagnosis of breast cancer

The EU funded eHealth project Highly Accurate Breast Cancer Diagnosis (HAMAM) has successfully completed the first project year that already brought the first major achievements. These include a first functioning online database prototype developed and made accessible for storing multi-disciplinary data from all partners and the implementation of the first workstation prototype.
