The Biomedical Research Unit at the Institut de Recerca Vall d'Hebron is offering 1 open post doc position in Prostate Cancer Research and Translational Oncology

Our research is focused on the molecular, translational and clinical aspects of cancer. All projects are based on clinical needs and unresolved clinical problems. Using experimental models, we develop new research strategies until preclinical validation. The final aim is to develop new and valuable clinical tools to improve diagnosis and prognosis, helping with predictive medicine and therapy. The candidates will work in the development of non-invasive methods for the early detection of prostate cancer in biological fluids.

Profile:

The candidate should have realized o is realizing a postdoctoral period of at least 1.5 years
Experience in Genomics and/or Proteomics, Biofluids
Fluent in spoken and written English
Capacity of independent reasoning combined with the willingness to work within a group is essential
A good publication record

Type of contract and salary:

We offer a 1.5 year contract with the possibility to apply for a fellowship in the 2012 call. The salary will be depend on the candidates profile and experience.
