ABOUT RURALDEV NETWORK

We are a ?seed stage? social startup focused on sharing knowledge in the field of nonprofit organisation management.

The mission is empowering micro and small organizations to manage and develop by themselves.

We believe that create and develop network between nonprofit organisations, local and international institutions can make micro and small rural organizations more efficient on supporting family farming and fight against rural poverty more efficiently.

OUR CHALLENGE

Our challenge is to launch a small seed to support the objective #1 of ?The Millennium Development Goals? of United Nations (?Eradicate extreme poverty and hunger?), which has a deadline on 2015 and the International Year of Family Farming (2014) declared by FAO.

Currently:

  • 1 in 3 people in the world work in agriculture
  • 49.5 % of the world population lives in rural areas
  • Small farmers produced 80% of the food consumed in developing countries

However,

  • 1 in 8 people do not eat enough daily
  • There are 1,200 million people living on less than $ 1.25 a day (extreme poverty)
  • Of this total, 70% are women

It is clear that this is an important moment for agriculture in the world.

WHAT WE DO: FIRST STEPS PROGRAMME

This programme is focused to give visibility to the nonprofit organisations and their activities in the field in order to facilitating to get investors.

Our goal:

  • Develop the website and social pages
  • Capacity building on internet tools and social pages
  • Capacity building in Google Analytics
  • Inclusion in Google Grants Programme

WE ARE LOOKING FOR PARTNERS:

1 Web Designer

  • 1 year of experience and high English level,
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics and Google Grants
  • Commitment with the project and drive for results
  • Must have an entrepreneur profile and autonomy to create and develop tasks,

The Web Designer will develop the landing pages to non-profit organizations around the world; manage our organisational webpage; develop trainings about basic internet tools; responsible to monitoring and evaluation of landing pages created.

1 Community Manager

  • 1 year of experience and high English level,
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics and Google Grants
  • Commitment with the project and drive for results
  • Must have an entrepreneur profile and autonomy to create and develop tasks,
  • Should have some knowledge about development aid.

The Community Manager will be responsible to develop the social media profiles to non-profit organisations; do researches about more recommended medias to use in each case; monitoring and evaluation about the non-profit organisations? impact in web; recommendations about how to improve this impact; develop trainings about how to use the social medias to get specific donors.

For both professionals, all tasks will be developed virtually so it is not necessary to live in Valencia, but MUST have a commitment of at least 4 hour per day.
