The "Sarcomas and Cancer Stem Cells" group, led by René Rodríguez, is part of the research
unit for Head & Neck and Sarcoma Research at the Hospital Universitario Central de Asturias
(HUCA) - Instituto Universitario de Oncología de Asturias (IUOPA). This group is currently
looking for a postdoctoral candidate willing to apply for a "Sara Borrell" schoolarship
by the Instituto de Salud Carlos III (ISC III). All the information can be found at:

We offer:
- A young / dynamic basic and clinical research environment.
- Participation in a translational research project funded by national and regional grants aimed
to search for new therapeutic targets specifically directed against sarcoma initiating cells.
- 3 years contract according to the Sara Borell Call.
We request:
-PhD awarded after January 2011
- Previous postdoctoral stays is highly valorated
-Ability to work independently and as team member.
-Great organization and communication skills. Scientific writing abilities.
-At least 2-3 first author publications in solid peer
-Expertise in at least one of these areas:
(i) human mesenchymal stem cell biology.
(ii) Cancer Stem Cells Research
(iii) Xenograft / animal models research
(iv) Computational biology and next generation sequening
(v) Molecular biology and b
