Main Purpose of the Role
The toxicology research analyst is responsible for scientific interpretation and analysis of premium quality information in our systems biology databases. They use their expertise to annotate, verify the biochemistry and toxicology data entered into the databases by colleagues and external contractors, providing feedback and training where appropriate; and provide guidance on how to interpret different sources of biochemical, toxicology and biological information.

Key responsibilities
•Uses scientific expertise to verify the work of colleagues and external contributors for accuracy and completeness, and ensures that the information is properly presented and organized in our systems biology database.
• Adheres to editorial publishing schedules and quality standards.
• Acts as a toxicology expert within the department and provides guidance to colleagues on how to interpret scientific literature and other sources of scientific information. Maintains documentation on how to interpret scientific information.
•Maintains and develops scientific knowledge and skills training as required to complete work and stay current on scientific trends and developments related to the employee's editorial responsibilities.
•Takes initiative by raising, discussing, and resolving subject matter and production issues.

Información complementaria de la oferta:
Education/ experience/qualifications
•Degree in Toxicology or Pharmacology. PhD in Pharmacology or Post-graduate laboratory research experience in compounds toxicity in animals/humans would be highly desirable
• Laboratory experience on metabolism / Cell pharmacology desirable
•Basic knowledge of molecular biology and human pathology
•Proficient in English.

Skills & Competencies
•Good scientific research and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
•Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
•Experience in databases and relationship models desired
•General computer proficiency (MS Office) and ability to quickly learn new software tools.
