The Energy Storage group at the Advanced Materials for Energy Area of IREC, lead by Prof. J.R. Morante, announces a project Engineer position available for a highly motivated candidate to work in a Ris3Cat project ("Comunitat d'Energia) coordinated by Gas Natural Fenosa in the field of synthetic fuel production.
The candidate will be involved in the design, commisioning and supervision of a pilot plant located at EDAR (el Prat de Llobregat). Additionaly, the candidate will carry out catalyst characterization and optimization at IREC laboratories, as well as developing strategies for upscaling the innovative reactor to be developed within the project.
Candidate must have a degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Materials Engineering and preferably have completed a doctorate in a related field: heterogenerous catalysis or synthetic fuel production. Additionally, must have a good level of spoken and written Spanish language.
CV must additionally reflect candidate's experience on characterisation techniques, gas and liquid analysis for reaction monitoring, reaction simulation tools (ASPEN, COMSOL,…) and writing technical project deliverables.
