The ADIPOFAT group is seeking a candidate for a postdoctoral call (Programa STOP Fuga de cerebros) co-funded by the Instituto Aragones de Ciencias de la Salud and ROCHE pharmaceuticals. (Be aware that this is not a job offer, the selected candidate must apply to this competitive call).
The requirements of the candidate are the following:

We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in genetic epidemiology and/or genetic biostatistics. Experience with R is a plus.
The candidate should hold a PhD achieved before the deadline of the call (31 March 2017).
The candidate should have a strong publication record, as the call is highly competitive. Likewise, previous research stays and/or postdoctoral experience outside Spain is advised.
Fluency in written English. The candidate should be able to write scientific manuscripts with minimal supervision.

If awarded, the candidate will be part of the ADIPOFAT research group, at the Translational Research Unit in the Hospital Universitario Miguel Servet (Zaragoza). He/she, under the supervision of Dr. Jose M. Arbones-Mainar, will work in the Aragon Workers Health Study (AWHS). AWHS is a longitudinal cohort study based on the annual health exams of ~5000 workers of a car assembly plant in Figueruelas (Zaragoza, Spain).The purpose of this post is to use a nutrigenomics aproach to investigate the interaction between diet and exercise with obesity, metabolic syndrome, diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. Experience in nutrigenetics or nutrigenomics is desirable but not essential. This research is funded under the Subprograma de proyectos integrados de excelencia en los Institutos de investigacion Acreditados 2016.
